Today, winners receive a prestigious WSOP bracelet, as well as a substantial cash prize, which is determined based upon the buy-in amounts, as well as the number of entrants. The main-event is a $10,000 no-limit Texas Holdem game, which many consider to be the most popular and nerve-wracking game in poker history.

What’s even remarkable is the fact that he overcame the odds and defeated 7,874 other players. The battle between the two went on for 10 ½ hours and was considered by many to be one of the most exciting heads-up battles in poker game history.
